Global Influencers Explore China’s C919 Jet in Guangzhou Showcase

Nearly 40 international travel influencers from 13 countries, including the UK, Australia, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore, visited China's domestically developed C919 passenger jet in Guangzhou on Friday. The event, organized by the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and China Southern Airlines, highlighted advancements in the Chinese mainland's aviation sector and promoted cultural integration within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Aircraft Design Reflects Regional Culture

Participants toured the Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company (GAMECO), where they observed the C919 adorned in a "Beautiful Greater Bay Area" livery. The design features blue, pink, and yellow hues alongside landmarks like the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and oceanic motifs, symbolizing the region's diversity and Lingnan cultural heritage.

Strengthening Global Aviation Ties

Organizers emphasized the event's role in fostering international dialogue about China's aviation achievements. The C919, developed by state-owned Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), represents a milestone in the nation's efforts to compete in the global commercial aircraft market. Analysts note its growing adoption by Chinese carriers could reshape Asia's aviation supply chains this year.
