Chinese Premier Li Qiang revealed significant progress in the nation's technological transformation during Thursday's opening of the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress. With 583 new or updated national standards established in 2025, China accelerated its innovation-driven development strategy to modernize industrial systems.

The government work report highlighted breakthroughs in artificial intelligence integration, with manufacturing sectors adopting smart factories and next-generation intelligent devices. "Our AI Plus initiative has become a cornerstone for industrial upgrades," Premier Li stated, emphasizing the program's role in maintaining China's competitive edge.

Digital economy sectors now contribute over 10.5% of national GDP, driven by enhanced data utilization and cloud computing infrastructure. Analysts suggest these developments position the Chinese mainland as a global leader in advanced manufacturing and AI implementation strategies.
