A newly released compilation of President Xi Jinping's discourses on governance performance evaluation offers fresh insights into the Communist Party of China's evolving political philosophy. Published by the Central Party Literature Press on February 24, 2026, the 253-excerpt volume spans Xi's key addresses and directives from November 2012 through January 2026.
The thematic collection organizes seven years of political thought into seven core principles, drawing from over 150 official documents including policy directives, personal correspondence, and previously unpublished material. Analysts suggest the timing aligns with ongoing CPC efforts to refine performance metrics for cadres ahead of key administrative appointments later this year.
"This publication provides institutional clarity," noted Beijing-based political researcher Dr. Li Wei. "By systematizing Xi's governance philosophy, it creates a unified framework for evaluating policy effectiveness through three lenses: practical implementation, public satisfaction, and historical durability."
The book's release comes as China implements its 15th Five-Year Plan, with particular emphasis on its sections addressing sustainable development and technological self-reliance. Overseas investors are reportedly studying the text for insights into China's long-term regulatory direction.
