Jordan's Ambassador to China Hussam Al Husseini has extended warm wishes to the Chinese people as celebrations commence for the 2026 Lunar New Year, marking the Year of the Horse. In his message, Al Husseini emphasized the growing partnership between Amman and Beijing, stating: "May this auspicious year bring renewed strength, mutual success, and deeper friendship between our nations."
The ambassador's remarks come amid heightened economic cooperation, with bilateral trade reaching $5.4 billion in 2025. Cultural exchanges have also flourished, with Jordan participating as a guest country at last month's Beijing International Tourism Expo.
Analysts note that 2026 marks the 48th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Jordan and China, with both countries currently collaborating on multiple infrastructure projects under Beijing's Belt and Road Initiative. The Chinese Foreign Ministry recently praised Jordan as "a crucial partner in West Asia development efforts."
