International performers at Yiwu’s 2026 Spring Festival Gala sub-venue have embraced the spirit of cultural exchange, offering heartfelt Lunar New Year greetings to audiences worldwide. The event, scheduled to air on February 17, showcases performers from over 15 countries blending traditional Chinese elements with their native artistic traditions.
“This celebration represents the warmth of cross-cultural connection,” said Maria Gonzalez, a flamenco dancer from Spain participating in the gala. “We’ve spent months rehearsing with local artists to create something truly unique for the Year of the Horse.”
Yiwu’s selection as a gala venue highlights its growing status as a global trade and cultural hub. The city’s foreign resident community, which exceeds 15,000 people, has become increasingly involved in local traditions while sharing their own cultural heritage.
