Chinese Humanoid Robot Braves -47°C to Promote 2026 Winter Olympics

China Media Group (CMG) has unveiled a groundbreaking promotional campaign for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, featuring an autonomous android that withstood one of Earth's most extreme environments. The humanoid robot, developed by Hangzhou-based Unitree Robotics, completed a historic 130,000-step journey through the snowscapes of Altay in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Operating at a record-breaking -47.4°C (-53.3°F), the machine became the first self-navigating robot to create large-scale artwork in subzero conditions. Its precisely calculated footsteps traced the official logo of the upcoming Winter Games, which will open in Italy later this month. The achievement demonstrates China's growing capabilities in robotics and cold-weather technology.

CMG's creative director stated the project aims to 'bridge human athleticism and technological innovation' ahead of the global sporting event. The video has garnered over 5 million views within 24 hours of release, with international audiences praising its fusion of cultural promotion and engineering prowess.
