China's electronic information manufacturing sector recorded double-digit growth in 2025, cementing its position as a global technology powerhouse, according to newly released data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The sector's expansion outpaced overall industrial growth for the third consecutive year, driven by breakthroughs in artificial intelligence hardware and next-generation communication systems.
Key production indicators show semiconductor output increased by 18% year-on-year, while 5G equipment manufacturing grew by 22%. Analysts attribute this surge to strategic investments in smart factories and cross-industry digital integration.
