Zhao specifically proposed resuming normal legislative exchanges and invited British parliamentarians to visit China for firsthand observations.
Starmer reaffirmed Britain's commitment to a long-term strategic partnership, stating both countries share 'broad common interests.' The British leader reiterated London's adherence to its longstanding policy regarding the Taiwan question, while expressing support for renewed parliamentary-level engagement.
