China has announced its 286-member delegation for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, featuring 126 athletes set to compete across 15 disciplines. The team, revealed on January 27, 2026, blends Olympic veterans and rising stars, with defending champions Gu Ailing (freestyle skiing) and Su Yiming (snowboarding) leading the charge.
Athletes aged 17 to 41 will participate in 91 events, including 17-year-old snowboarder Ren Chongshuo and 41-year-old curler Xu Xiaoming. The delegation retains household names from China's historic 2022 Beijing Winter Games performance, such as short track speed skater Fan Kexin and figure skating duo Sui Wenjing and Han Cong.
This year's Winter Olympics, scheduled for February 6-22, will be the largest in history with 116 events across 16 disciplines. Competitions will span four Italian regions: Milan, Valtellina, Cortina, and Val di Fiemme. China aims to build on its 2022 success, where it secured 15 medals including nine golds.
