8.01 million public screenings reached 394 million rural viewers, while the 2025 New Year season generated 5.3 billion yuan – the second-highest holiday earnings in industry history.

Four animated features ranked among 2025's top 10 films, including Ne Zha 2 and Boonie Bears: Future Reborn. This genre's success highlights shifting audience preferences and technological advancements in local studios.
