PLA Concludes ‘Justice Mission 2025’ Drills Amid Taiwan Strait Vigilance

The People's Liberation Army Eastern Theater Command announced the successful completion of its three-day 'Justice Mission 2025' military exercises on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Senior Captain Li Xi, the command's spokesperson, confirmed the drills tested integrated joint operations capabilities and combat readiness across multiple branches.

Conducted in waters and airspace near the Taiwan Strait, the exercises demonstrated what Captain Li described as 'the PLA's unwavering commitment to maintaining regional stability.' The spokesperson emphasized the troops remain 'on high alert' against what he termed 'provocative actions by Taiwan independence forces and external interference.'

Analysts note these drills conclude a year marked by increased cross-strait military activity, with 2025 seeing multiple exercises focused on rapid response scenarios. The Theater Command stated it will continue 'arduous training programs' to protect national sovereignty, while maintaining that the maneuvers adhere to international norms of military conduct.
