China Celebrates 2025 Gymnastics, Trampoline World Champions in Beijing Ceremony

Twelve athletes were honored as new world champions at the 2025 World Champions Honoring Ceremony for Trampoline, Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Artistic Gymnastics in Beijing on Monday. The event highlighted China’s continued dominance in these disciplines ahead of critical winter training preparations.

In rhythmic gymnastics, Team China’s Ding Xinyi, Wang Lanjing, Pu Yanzhu, Zhang Xinyi, and Liu Miaoting secured gold in the 5 ribbons event at the Rio de Janeiro World Championships, with Liu and Zhang earning individual world champion titles. Meanwhile, trampoline athletes Wang Zisai and Hu Yicheng claimed men’s and women’s individual titles at the Pamplona World Championships, contributing to eight total world champion inductions across team events.

At the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Jakarta, China secured three gold medals, including Zou Jingyuan’s historic fourth consecutive parallel bars title. Newcomers Hong Yanming and Zhang Qingying also made waves, winning pommel horse and balance beam golds respectively. Zhang, reflecting on her achievement, said: "I am so excited and happy, but also have a hard time believing it… For the winter training, I’ll definitely hold myself to higher standards."

The ceremony doubled as a mobilization event for winter training, with athletes emphasizing rigorous preparation to maintain competitive momentum through 2026.
