China, UAE Pledge to Elevate Strategic Partnership in 2025

High-Level Talks Strengthen Sino-Emirati Collaboration

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reaffirmed Beijing's commitment to enhancing strategic cooperation with the United Arab Emirates during a December 14 meeting with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, special envoy to the UAE president. The discussions focused on implementing bilateral agreements reached by both nations' leaders and expanding collaboration across key sectors.

Pillars of Cooperation

Wang emphasized China's dedication to maintaining high-level exchanges and deepening mutual trust, stating: 'Our development represents strengthened forces for global peace and stability.' The UAE envoy highlighted energy, technology, and economic partnerships as priority areas, expressing confidence in China's growth trajectory and its implications for Global South solidarity.

Strategic Alignment

Both parties agreed to intensify coordination on international platforms while advancing practical cooperation in trade, investment, and governance experience-sharing. The talks concluded with mutual commitments to transform the comprehensive strategic partnership into what Wang described as 'a model of South-South cooperation.'
