Chinese table tennis stars Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Kuai Man, and Chen Yi made history on December 12, 2025, by sweeping all semifinal spots at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Hong Kong Finals, guaranteeing China’s victory in the women’s singles event before the final matches.

World No. 1 Sun Yingsha demonstrated her dominance with a decisive 4-0 victory over Japan’s Miyu Nagasaki. “Every opponent brings unique challenges,” Sun remarked after the match. “Adapting quickly is key to maintaining our competitive edge.”

Kuai Man secured her semifinal berth after a thrilling 4-2 comeback against Japan’s Satsuki Odo, while Wang Manyu overcame Joo Cheon-hui of the Republic of Korea in a 4-1 showdown. Chen Yi completed China’s semifinal sweep by defeating compatriot Chen Xingtong in a hard-fought 4-1 match.
