Of the 79 individuals initially hospitalized following the November blaze, 19 required critical care at peak severity. Medical teams are now focusing on rehabilitation planning and psychological support for survivors and families, with HA confirming full medical fee waivers for affected residents through December 2026.
While healthcare professionals continue post-discharge monitoring, Hong Kong authorities are implementing a city-wide review of building fire safety standards. Social workers have assisted over 200 households displaced by the incident, coordinating temporary housing and essential supplies.
