China advanced its space infrastructure ambitions on Tuesday with the successful deployment of 15 new low-orbit internet satellites from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. The morning launch at 6:11 a.m. Beijing Time marks another milestone in the country's push to establish global broadband connectivity through space-based systems.
The modified Long March-6 rocket completed its mission flawlessly, delivering the satellites to their designated orbit. This launch represents the 613th flight of China's Long March rocket series, underscoring the program's growing reliability and frequency in 2025.
Space technology analysts highlight that this satellite group will enhance China's capacity to provide high-speed internet services to remote areas worldwide. The development comes as multiple nations race to deploy next-generation communication networks combining terrestrial and orbital infrastructure.
