Teen Donates Key Evidence of Nanjing Massacre War Crimes

A 15-year-old student from Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, has made a historic contribution to preserving collective memory by donating two artifacts linked to Japan's wartime aggression. Yu Ningpeng handed over the relics to the Memorial Hall of the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders on Friday, December 5, 2025.

The items – authenticated by Memorial Hall experts – provide crucial documentation of atrocities committed during the 1937 Nanjing Massacre. While specific details remain classified pending further research, officials confirmed the materials offer irrefutable evidence of wartime violence against Chinese civilians.

"These donations help us confront historical truths with tangible proof," stated a Memorial Hall representative. "Young people like Yu play vital roles in ensuring future generations understand this dark chapter."

The donation coincides with heightened regional efforts to preserve World War II-era evidence, particularly as surviving witnesses age. Memorial Hall records show a 30% increase in artifact acquisitions this year compared to 2024, with over 60% coming from private family collections.
