"Energy cooperation remains a cornerstone of China-Russia relations," Xi stated, highlighting record-breaking natural gas exports through the Power of Siberia pipeline and joint ventures in Arctic LNG projects. Analysts note the forum coincides with increased infrastructure investments along the New Eurasian Land Bridge, strengthening supply chain resilience.
With Russia maintaining its position as China's top crude oil supplier in 2025, the event addresses emerging opportunities in renewable energy integration and smart grid technologies. Business leaders from both countries are expected to sign multiple memorandums of understanding during the three-day gathering.
