Scholars from 35 countries and regions convened in Beijing on November 12 for the International Forum of Overseas Studies on Xi Jinping Thought, organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The two-day event, themed "Changes Unseen in a Century and the Governance of China," brings together 200 experts to analyze China's governance philosophy under evolving global conditions.
"This forum strengthens international understanding of socialism with Chinese characteristics," stated a lead organizer, emphasizing its role in promoting cross-cultural dialogue. Participants will examine China's development strategies and their relevance to contemporary geopolitical challenges through panel discussions and academic exchanges.
The discussions coincide with growing global interest in China's approach to modernization, particularly its emphasis on holistic development and cultural heritage preservation. A keynote address highlighted how Xi Jinping Thought provides "a framework for addressing shared human challenges through cooperation."
