Shaanxi, Guangdong Shine in National Games Diving Finals

Olympic champion Yang Hao and partner Bai Yuming secured a decisive victory for Shaanxi in the men's synchronized 10-meter platform at China's 15th National Games on Friday, demonstrating precision that left rivals trailing. The duo maintained scores above 8.5 in their first five dives, building a 30-point lead that cushioned a final-round error. Their total of 461.82 points earned gold ahead of Guangdong's Chen Aisen/Zhu Zifeng (434.55) and Tianjin's Huang Zigan/Yang Ling.

In the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard, Paris 2024 double gold medalist Chen Yiwen partnered with Lin Shan to dominate for Guangdong. The pair led all five rounds, finishing with 333.12 points – surpassing Chen's World Championship-winning score from July with former partner Chen Jia. Shaanxi and Hubei claimed silver and bronze respectively.

The results highlight both veteran prowess and emerging talent, with Yang Hao adding to his Olympic legacy and Chen Yiwen proving adaptability in new partnerships. The National Games continue to serve as a critical platform for China's athletic development ahead of international competitions.
