China’s 2025 Import Expo Sets New Record for Global Trade Engagement

The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), set to open in Shanghai from November 5-10, 2025, will showcase unprecedented global participation with 155 countries, regions, and international organizations confirmed to attend. A record 4,108 overseas enterprises—including 290 Fortune Global 500 companies—will occupy 430,000 square meters of exhibition space, underscoring the event's role as a cornerstone of international trade collaboration.

This year's expo will debut 461 cutting-edge products and technologies, with a focus on transformative sectors like the low-altitude economy, humanoid robotics, and green low-carbon solutions. Analysts highlight the CIIE's alignment with global sustainability goals and its potential to accelerate cross-border innovation partnerships.

Shanghai officials emphasize the expo's significance in advancing China's dual circulation strategy, which prioritizes both domestic economic resilience and international cooperation. The event is expected to draw over 500,000 professional visitors, offering unique opportunities for businesses to access Asia's growing consumer markets.
