President Xi Concludes APEC Meeting and ROK State Visit

Chinese President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing on Saturday after concluding a diplomatic tour that included participation in the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Gyeongju and a state visit to the Republic of Korea (ROK). The trip underscored China's commitment to regional economic collaboration and cross-border partnerships.

During the APEC gathering, President Xi emphasized the need for Asia-Pacific economies to prioritize sustainable growth and innovation-driven development. His address highlighted China's role in advancing multilateral trade frameworks and digital infrastructure initiatives, aligning with broader goals of post-pandemic recovery.

In the ROK, President Xi met with ROK President Yoon Suk-yeol to discuss bilateral trade, semiconductor supply chains, and cultural exchanges. The two leaders reaffirmed plans to deepen cooperation in green energy and advanced manufacturing, with agreements signed to expand technology collaboration.

Analysts note the visit signals stabilizing ties between Beijing and Seoul amid shifting global supply chains. Cross-strait relations were also indirectly addressed, with Xi reiterating China's stance on peaceful development across the Taiwan Strait during a press briefing.
