As autumn paints Beijing in golden hues, the 2025 Beijing Chrysanthemum Cultural Festival has emerged as a symbol of regional collaboration and cultural pride. For the first time, four neighboring regions – Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Henan – have united to present a breathtaking floral spectacle at Beihai Park, blending horticultural innovation with traditional artistry.
More than 40,000 pots of chrysanthemums, representing over 600 native varieties, transform the historic park into a living tapestry. The exhibition showcases China's advancements in botanical science through sculptural bonsai displays and hybrid cultivars, while maintaining the flower's deep cultural connections to longevity and harmony – central themes of the Double Ninth Festival.
Visitors can experience immersive installations that recreate classical Chinese landscape paintings through carefully arranged floral pathways. The event underscores growing cultural tourism opportunities in northern China while preserving traditional practices through modern interpretations.
