China's Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the northwest has completed a comprehensive rehearsal for the highly anticipated Shenzhou-21 crewed spacecraft launch, marking a critical milestone in its space exploration program. Officials confirmed the launch complex is now fully operational, with upgraded infrastructure and advanced monitoring systems ensuring mission readiness.
The rehearsal tested newly optimized procedures, including a centralized data and operations center designed for remote monitoring. Hu Yonggang, a representative from the launch center, emphasized the enhanced capabilities: "The renovated communications room allows real-time observation of equipment status and environmental conditions, enabling rapid troubleshooting."
Technical teams implemented precision maintenance strategies for launch facilities, shifting from broad oversight to targeted control of gas, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Zhang Fan, another Jiuquan official, highlighted the role of big data: "Our intelligent operation center dynamically adjusts maintenance plans, improving both efficiency and safety standards."
With temperature control systems refined for rocket propellant safety and testing environments stabilized, the China Manned Space Agency announced the Shenzhou-21 launch will proceed "at an appropriate time" in the near future. This mission reinforces China's growing capabilities in space technology and its commitment to advancing crewed spaceflight.
