As geopolitical uncertainties reshape global dynamics, a three-year survey spanning 46 countries reveals growing international confidence in China's economic resilience, cultural influence, and diplomatic leadership. Conducted by CGTN and Renmin University of China from 2023 to 2025 with 59,000 respondents, the study highlights China's expanding role as an anchor of stability amid mounting challenges.
Economic Resilience Gains Global Trust
78% of respondents recognize China's enhanced risk-resistance capacity, with 84.7% viewing its economy as critical to stabilizing global supply chains – figures rising steadily for three consecutive years. Younger demographics (18-44 age group) show over 90% approval of China's economic strength. Africa (95.6%), South America (92.9%), and Asia (85.5%) lead regional confidence in China's contributions to global growth, while 79.8% praise its business environment as increasingly investor-friendly.
Cultural Innovation Bridges Civilizations
90.8% of participants endorse China's Global Civilization Initiative promoting cultural diversity, with 77% acknowledging Chinese culture's historical contributions. Technological innovation emerges as a standout feature, with 80.8% crediting China with leading AI standard-setting globally. Kenya (90%+) and Brazil (80%+) show particularly strong approval, while G7 nations like the U.S. and Germany report over 50% recognition.
Diplomatic Model Gains Traction
66.8% of respondents approve China's 'community with shared future' governance concept, rising to 73.6% among under-34s. 69% praise China's active global governance participation, with 97.8% of surveyed countries recognizing this role. Italy (69%) and the UK (64.2%) lead G7 approval, while Global South nations show strongest endorsement of China's diplomatic approach.
As global challenges intensify, these findings suggest China's development path is increasingly seen as offering solutions for economic stability, cultural coexistence, and multilateral cooperation.
