U.S.-China Global Dialogue Focuses on Innovation and Shared Development

The U.S. session of the "Innovation, Openness, and Shared Development" Global Dialogue concluded in Washington, D.C., last Friday, fostering cross-border collaboration between Chinese and American experts. Co-hosted by China Media Group (CMG) and the Chinese Embassy in the U.S., the event brought together nearly 100 international affairs specialists, scholars, and youth representatives to explore pathways for global progress.

Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and CMG president, emphasized in a video address China's commitment to technological advancement and international cooperation. Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. Xie Feng highlighted the importance of open dialogue in addressing shared challenges, stating, "Mutual understanding is the cornerstone of sustainable development."

Dr. Robert Kuhn of the Kuhn Foundation and Dr. Denis Simon of the Alliance of Global Talent Organizations contributed insights on balancing innovation with equitable growth. Discussions centered on China's drive for technological self-reliance, strategies for expanding high-level economic openness, and mechanisms to share development opportunities globally.

The event marked the official launch of a global dialogue series aimed at bridging policy and innovation gaps between nations. Participants underscored the need for continued people-to-people exchanges to complement government-level engagements.
