Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated on Tuesday that Beijing "endorses and encourages" efforts to stabilize the region, responding to questions about a U.S.-proposed Gaza peace plan.
Call for Ceasefire and Humanitarian Action
Guo urged all parties to implement United Nations resolutions, secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and address the urgent humanitarian crisis. "The priority must be protecting civilians and ensuring aid reaches those in need," he said during a press briefing.
Two-State Solution Reiterated
China reiterated its long-standing support for the two-state solution, advocating for "Palestinians governing Palestine" as a foundation for lasting peace. Guo emphasized Beijing\u2019s willingness to collaborate with global partners to achieve a "comprehensive, just, and durable resolution."
