China advanced its space capabilities with the successful launch of the Yaogan-45 remote sensing satellite from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in Hainan on Tuesday. The satellite entered its preset orbit after liftoff at 10 a.m., according to official reports. The upgraded Long March-7 rocket, developed by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, represents a leap in payload capacity.
