China’s Smart Industry Expo 2025 Unveils AI-Driven Future

The World Smart Industry Expo 2025 in Chongqing is painting a vivid picture of tomorrow’s tech-driven society, with artificial intelligence (AI) innovations taking center stage. From AI-powered vehicles to smart city solutions, the event offers a roadmap to an intelligent economy set to reshape daily life by 2035.

Where Innovation Meets Ambition

Spanning 170,000 square meters, the Expo features 600+ global enterprises showcasing breakthroughs across five key sectors: intelligent connected vehicles, digital cities, robotics, low-altitude economy, and smart homes. Over 3,000 innovations are on display, including 100+ new industry standards and technologies set for release this week.

Economic Momentum Builds

The event is expected to seal 298 projects worth over 200 billion yuan ($28 billion), underscoring China’s push to lead the global AI race. This follows Beijing’s recent "AI Plus" initiative aiming for 70% smart technology penetration across industries by 2027.

Global Collaboration Hub

Six professional competitions, including the RoboCup Asia-Pacific Invitational, are fostering international knowledge exchange. With China currently holding the world’s largest AI patent portfolio and a projected 700 billion yuan ($98 billion) market by 2025, the Expo serves as both showcase and catalyst for the region’s smart technology ambitions.
