Against a backdrop of global uncertainty, Wang stressed that stable bilateral relations remain pivotal to addressing shared challenges.

Building Bridges Amid Turbulence

Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, described the current era as one of 'turbulence and transformation,' noting that U.S.-China dynamics significantly influence global stability. He reiterated China's consistent policy approach toward the U.S., anchored in mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.

Emphasis on Mutual Respect

The foreign minister called for both nations to adopt 'objective, rational, and pragmatic attitudes' to avoid misjudgments. He highlighted recent phone conversations between Chinese leaders and former U.S. President Donald Trump as examples of productive engagement, urging continued efforts to implement consensus reached at the leadership level.

Leadership Consensus and Future Steps

Wang underscored the importance of respecting core interests and managing differences constructively. 'Preventing confrontation requires adherence to principles of equality and mutual benefit,' he stated, while advocating for expanded cooperation in areas of common ground to benefit both nations and the international community.
