China, Pakistan Strengthen Strategic Ties in High-Level Talks

Chinese Vice President Han Zheng reaffirmed Beijing's commitment to its 'ironclad' partnership with Pakistan during a meeting with Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir in Beijing on Friday. The discussion highlighted both nations' determination to elevate their all-weather strategic cooperation amid evolving global dynamics.

"China and Pakistan are close friends and reliable strategic partners, sharing a bond forged through decades of mutual trust and joint development," Han stated, emphasizing plans to implement leadership agreements and expand collaboration across sectors including infrastructure, security, and technology.

General Munir echoed the sentiment, noting Pakistan's unanimous support for China's global development and security initiatives. "Our military stands ready to transform leadership consensus into concrete actions," he said, underscoring Islamabad's alignment with Beijing's vision for regional stability.

The meeting comes as both nations prepare to celebrate 73 years of diplomatic relations, with observers noting increased coordination on projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor framework. Analysts suggest the strengthened military-political dialogue signals deeper integration in addressing shared challenges from counterterrorism to economic security.
