China-Africa Youth Explore Rural Revitalization in Zhejiang Initiative

The fifth China-Africa Future Leaders' Dialogue launched this week in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, bringing together young innovators from across Africa and the Chinese mainland to examine rural development strategies. The event highlights collaborative approaches to achieving common prosperity, a cornerstone of China's modernization goals.

Participants toured the Baxian Jidao Common Prosperity Belt, a 472-hectare pilot project spanning three villages and supporting over 2,400 residents. By merging agricultural heritage with modern industries, the initiative has revitalized local economies through rural tourism, upscale homestays, and cultural innovation hubs.

'This isn't just about infrastructure—it's about creating sustainable systems,' remarked one attendee from Kenya. The program demonstrates how integrated resource management can transform traditional farming communities into multifunctional economic zones.

Organizers emphasize that such exchanges strengthen China-Africa cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative framework, particularly in sharing grassroots development expertise. The dialogue continues through the week with workshops on cross-cultural entrepreneurship and green technology applications.
