Xi Jinping’s Works Debut at Hong Kong Book Fair, Highlighting Cultural Ties

A curated collection of President Xi Jinping's writings on education and cultural philosophy took center stage at the 2024 Hong Kong Book Fair, drawing attention to cross-regional intellectual exchange. Three newly released titles—On Education, Outline for Studying Xi Jinping Thought on Culture, and Xi Jinping among the People: Moments in Focus—were unveiled by Hong Kong publisher Sino United Publishing (Holdings) Limited in traditional Chinese characters.

The works aim to deepen understanding of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era among residents of Hong Kong and Macao, while fostering stronger connections to national cultural heritage. Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive John Lee emphasized the significance of the launch during his opening remarks, stating: "These publications serve as bridges between our communities, illuminating shared values and aspirations."

Held annually at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the week-long book fair attracts over 1 million visitors. This year's theme, "Reading the World • Reading for the Future," aligns with the publisher's goal to promote discourse on China's developmental philosophy. A Sino United Publishing representative noted the books will be available at major retailers across the region starting Thursday.
