Beijing Forum Highlights Civilizational Dialogue as Key to Global Progress

Scholars and policymakers gathered in Beijing on Friday for a pivotal sub-forum titled "Inter-Civilization Exchanges and Mutual Learning: Cultural Inheritance and Innovation," emphasizing cross-cultural collaboration as a cornerstone of sustainable development. The event, part of the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting, brought together experts from China and over 20 countries to discuss practical applications of the Global Civilization Initiative.

Wang Wei, president of Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology, drew from four decades of fieldwork to illustrate China\u2019s evolving approach to cultural preservation. "Civilizations grow through dialogue, not isolation," he stated, referencing archaeological discoveries along the Silk Road that reveal millennia of intercultural exchange.

The discussions highlighted innovative strategies for balancing technological advancement with heritage conservation, particularly relevant for Asian economies navigating rapid urbanization. Participants also explored how digital archiving and youth-focused educational programs could make ancient wisdom accessible to modern global challenges.
