China, India Pledge Border Tranquility Amid High-Level Talks

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the need for China and India to maintain peace along their shared border during a high-level meeting with India's National Security Adviser Ajit Doval in Beijing on Monday. The talks focused on stabilizing bilateral relations and fostering strategic trust between the two Asian powers.

Wang, a senior member of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Political Bureau, stated that both nations must 'properly handle sensitive issues' while advancing practical cooperation. 'Only when the dragon and elephant dance together can there be a win-win outcome,' he remarked, using symbolic imagery to underscore the potential benefits of collaboration.

Doval echoed the sentiment, advocating for a long-term perspective in bilateral relations. 'As two major Asian nations, India and China can make even greater contributions to the international community,' he said, pledging support for China's leadership in the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.

The meeting comes as both countries work to resolve lingering border tensions while exploring cooperation in multilateral platforms. Analysts suggest the dialogue reflects growing recognition of shared interests in regional stability and economic development.
