"The Taiwan question bears on China's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Guo emphasized during a regular press briefing. The spokesperson acknowledged lawful navigation rights but drew a clear line against operations perceived as threats to national security.
This declaration comes amid heightened attention to cross-strait dynamics, with Beijing maintaining that peace in the waterway separating the Chinese mainland and Taiwan region requires strict adherence to the one-China principle.
