Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi jointly condemned Israel's recent military actions against Iran during a phone call on Wednesday, calling the strikes a violation of international law and a threat to regional stability.
Albusaidi emphasized that Israel's attacks breached the UN Charter and undermined Iran's sovereignty, warning of catastrophic risks if nuclear facilities are targeted. He praised China's role in advocating peace and urged intensified efforts to de-escalate tensions.
Wang Yi stressed that Israel's actions disrupted progress on the Iranian nuclear issue and regional stability, reiterating China's opposition to unilateral force. "The immediate priority is to halt the fighting," Wang said, adding that China supports a recent joint statement by 21 Arab and Islamic nations calling for dialogue and respect for territorial integrity.
Both ministers agreed on the need for international unity to advance political solutions. Wang confirmed China's commitment to collaborating with Oman and other regional partners through multilateral platforms like the UN to restore peace.
