Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh reaffirmed their commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation during a high-level meeting at the ASEAN-China-GCC Summit on Tuesday. Premier Li emphasized China's readiness to maintain high-level exchanges and deepen collaboration across trade, technology, and regional security. "We must transform our comprehensive strategic cooperation into tangible benefits for our people," Li stated, highlighting plans to stabilize supply chains and enhance digital economy partnerships.
The dialogue occurred against a backdrop of what both leaders described as "increasing global uncertainties," with Li underscoring China's commitment to "uphold international fairness and protect the Global South's collective interests." Vietnam's PM Chinh echoed these sentiments, pledging to implement consensus reached by both nations' leadership through practical cooperation frameworks.

This latest engagement follows President Xi's December visit to Hanoi, where leaders established the "six mores" framework – a roadmap emphasizing stronger political trust, security coordination, and cultural connectivity.
