AI Strategist Triumphs at CMG Robot Competition in Hangzhou

In a thrilling display of technological prowess, the 'AI Strategist' team, led by operator Lu Xin, claimed victory at China Media Group's (CMG) robot combat competition in Hangzhou. The event, held on Sunday, showcased humanoid robots battling in structured one-on-one matches, blending strategy and cutting-edge engineering.

Operators remotely controlled robots to strike designated zones on opponents, with points awarded for precision: 1 point for arm hits, 3 points for legs, and valid strikes to the torso. Knockdowns incurred penalties, emphasizing balance and agility. The G1 model robot, developed by Unitree Robotics, served as the primary hardware, highlighting China's advancements in robotics.

The competition forms part of CMG's World Robot Competition Series, which will expand to include football and basketball matches. Designed to merge education and entertainment, the series aims to boost regional robotics industries while fostering science-tourism integration. Replays of the matches are available through official channels, offering viewers a chance to witness the fusion of technology and strategy.
