The 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair has launched with a groundbreaking twist: its first-ever artificial intelligence exhibition area. Running for five days in the tech hub of Shenzhen, the event merges tradition with innovation as robots, drones, and smart wearables share space with cultural heritage displays.
Over 22 local tech firms demonstrate AI applications through interactive installations, offering visitors hands-on experiences with voice-activated glasses and autonomous drones. The fair's 8 exhibition halls feature 120,000 cultural products and 4,000 investment projects, creating what organizers call 'Asia's largest cultural marketplace.'
International participation has reached record levels, with 305 exhibitors from 65 countries and regions – including significant representation from Southeast Asia and Europe. More than 35,000 professional visitors from 110 countries and regions are expected to attend, underscoring the event's growing global influence since its 2004 inception.
With 6,280 participating organizations and a 265-company increase from last year, the fair continues to serve as China's premier platform for cultural exchange. Analysts note the strategic inclusion of AI reflects Shenzhen's ambitions to lead in both technological innovation and soft power exports.
