Slovakia Shines as Guest of Honor at 4th China-CEEC Expo in Ningbo

Ningbo welcomed global leaders and business representatives this week as the 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo commenced, with Slovakia taking center stage as this year's guest of honor. Richard Rasi, Chairman of the Slovak National Council, marked his return to the event six years after leading his country's delegation to its 2019 debut.

Strengthening Economic Ties

In an exclusive interview with CGTN, Rasi highlighted Slovakia's strategic participation, emphasizing advanced manufacturing and agricultural innovations showcased at the expo. The event follows last November's elevation of China-Slovakia relations to a strategic partnership, which Rasi called "a roadmap for mutual technological advancement and sustainable development."

A Vision for Collaboration

Rasi noted Slovakia's unique position as a bridge between East and West, particularly in automotive and green energy sectors. "Our cooperation in electric vehicle infrastructure and AI-driven manufacturing could set benchmarks for China-CEEC collaboration," he stated, pointing to recent investments in Slovakia's battery production facilities by Chinese firms.

The expo features over 300 Slovak enterprises, with traditional products like mineral waters and cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions drawing significant attention from Asian buyers.
