The Guangsha Lions delivered a commanding performance against the Beijing Ducks in Game 4 of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) Finals, securing a 106-73 victory on Wednesday. With a 3-1 series lead, the Lions are now one win away from claiming their first championship in franchise history.
Guangsha's balanced attack saw six players score in double digits, including standout performances from Barry Brown and Lin Ping-Sheng, who both logged 22 points. The Lions stifled Beijing with aggressive defense, limiting the Ducks to a 35.8% field goal rate and forcing 17 turnovers. Beijing's struggles were epitomized by a six-minute scoring drought in the first quarter, during which Guangsha mounted a decisive 13-0 run.
'Our intensity on both ends set the tone early,' said Guangsha coach Wang Bo. Beijing’s offense faltered throughout, with leading scorer Chen Ying-Chun netting just 13 points. The Ducks missed 24 of 28 three-point attempts and failed to counter Guangsha’s fast-break dominance.
The series now shifts to Hangzhou in east China's Zhejiang Province for Game 5 on Saturday. A home-court victory would cement the Lions’ ascent as a new powerhouse in Asian basketball, drawing attention from sports analysts and fans across the region.
