Chinese Rescuers Deliver Critical Aid in Myanmar Quake Zone

In the wake of a devastating 7.9-magnitude earthquake, the China International Search and Rescue Team is providing vital medical assistance in Myanmar's Mandalay region. Over 10 multidisciplinary specialists are employing advanced mobile diagnostic tools – including handheld ultrasounds and portable X-ray machines – to treat hundreds affected by the disaster.

At relief camps near Mandalay’s University of Medicine and historic palace, the team screened 250+ residents for acute conditions exacerbated by post-disaster challenges. They distributed essential medications and provided targeted care for prevalent issues like respiratory illnesses and chronic diseases. Health education sessions focused on improving self-care in high-temperature environments common to the region.

The operation has already disinfected 120,000 square meters of critical zones while coordinating with other Chinese emergency teams, including experts from Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Collaborative efforts have delivered 500+ medical consultations with round-the-clock support.

Future aid will prioritize treatment of cardiovascular, endocrine, and immune system disorders across multiple relief camps. Plans include donating urgently needed medical equipment to local facilities as recovery efforts continue.
