China has delivered its second batch of emergency humanitarian aid to Myanmar, following a devastating earthquake that struck the region. The supplies, dispatched from Beijing Capital International Airport on Thursday, include 800 tents, 2,000 blankets, 3,000 boxes of biscuits, and 2,000 boxes of mineral water, addressing urgent needs in affected areas.
The shipment follows an initial aid package sent on March 31, which marked the start of China’s cross-border disaster response. Li Ming, spokesperson for the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), emphasized China’s commitment to supporting Myanmar’s recovery: “We will continue providing assistance tailored to local needs to help residents rebuild swiftly.”
The relief effort highlights deepening regional cooperation, with Li expressing confidence that Myanmar’s recovery will accelerate through joint international support. Analysts note that such initiatives align with broader humanitarian partnerships across Asia, fostering stability in disaster-prone regions.
