China, Republic of Congo Strengthen Africa Cooperation Model

China and the Republic of Congo have deepened their partnership as a cornerstone of Sino-African collaboration, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced during talks with Republic of Congo Foreign Minister Jean-Claude Gakosso in Beijing on Friday. Wang emphasized mutual trust and shared goals, stating the relationship 'has become a model of China-Africa solidarity' that delivers 'tangible benefits' for both nations and supports Africa's broader development.

Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted infrastructure projects and resource-sharing initiatives as key drivers of the partnership. Gakosso praised China's role as a 'sincere friend' to African nations, pledging closer coordination to advance economic and diplomatic priorities under the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation framework.

The meeting underscores China's growing engagement in Africa, with the Republic of Congo serving as a strategic partner in trade, energy, and regional stability efforts. Analysts note such collaborations increasingly shape Africa's economic landscape while fostering cross-continental connectivity.
