Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang held high-level talks with international leaders attending the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 in Hainan Province this week, underscoring China's commitment to regional cooperation and shared development.
During a meeting with Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, Ding emphasized China's willingness to strengthen strategic alignment and expand practical cooperation across sectors including trade and infrastructure. Sonexay reaffirmed Laos' dedication to advancing the Laos-China community with a shared future, emphasizing mutual support on core interests.
In discussions with Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) Vice President Aren B. Palik, Ding advocated for deeper collaboration in marine economy development and climate resilience. Palik reiterated FSM's support for the one-China principle and China's positions on matters related to the Taiwan region, Hong Kong, Xinjiang, and the South China Sea.
