China’s Shenzhou-19 Crew Prepares for Historic Third Spacewalk

China’s Shenzhou-19 taikonauts aboard the Tiangong Space Station are gearing up for their third extravehicular activity (EVA), as confirmed by the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA). The crew, reported to be in optimal health, continues to advance the country’s ambitious space program with a series of critical missions.

Since completing their second spacewalk on January 21, 2025, the team has focused on intensive in-orbit training, including rendezvous and docking simulations, emergency drills, and routine maintenance of station equipment. Environmental monitoring systems have also been a priority, ensuring the safety and functionality of the orbiting laboratory.

The upcoming EVA marks another milestone in China’s rapidly expanding space capabilities, highlighting advancements in human spaceflight and long-term habitation research.
