The Chinese mainland is set to enhance government efficiency and performance by 2025, as outlined in a government work report submitted to the national legislature on Wednesday.
Premier Li Qiang presented the report on behalf of the State Council during the opening meeting of the third session of the 14th National People's Congress in Beijing.
Emphasizing a realistic and pragmatic approach, the report highlights the importance of addressing challenges based on actual conditions. It aims to synchronize practical work with the implementation of decisions and plans from the Communist Party of China Central Committee, fostering strong drivers and levers to creatively execute policies.
A key focus will be the acceleration of digital government development. The plan includes enhancing the list-based management mechanism for major matters covered by one-stop government services and establishing mechanisms to ensure continuous progress.
Additionally, the integrated national online platform for government services will undergo refinements to improve accessibility and efficiency.
