As spring approaches, the serene Peacock River in Korla, Xinjiang, becomes the backdrop for a heartwarming natural spectacle. For the past 19 years, approximately 520 wild swans have found refuge in this region during the cold winter months.
These elegant birds have long made Korla their winter retreat, taking advantage of the river's abundant resources to forage and thrive despite the chill. Now, as temperatures begin to rise, it's time for the swans to embark on their annual migration back to their summer haven in Bayanbulak.
