China’s Top Political Advisory Body Concludes Standing Committee Session

China's top political advisory body, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), has officially closed the tenth session of its Standing Committee in Beijing on Sunday.

Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the closing meeting and delivered a significant speech.

In his address, Wang highlighted the CPPCC National Committee's focus on the central tasks of the Party and the nation over the past year, noting the progress made across all its endeavors.

He emphasized the advisory body's role in contributing to the advancement of Chinese modernization and in achieving the objectives outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan with high quality by 2025.

Furthermore, Wang urged efforts to ensure the successful convening of the third session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee.

The meeting resulted in the adoption of several key documents, including the draft agenda and schedule for the annual session, a work report from the Standing Committee, and a report on how proposals from political advisors have been addressed since the second session.

These documents are set to be submitted to the third session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee for further review.
